Starwood Opens First Luxury Hotel in Tokyo

The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, has opened the brand’s first-ever luxury hotel in the capital of Japan. Situated in the heart of Kioicho neighbourhood, The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is a modern accommodation catering for both business and leisure travellers.

Designed by Rockwell Group Europe, The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho features a striking contemporary aesthetic inspired by the sprawling sky and kaleidoscopic colours of surrounding cities. Located on the 30th to 36th floors of Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, the new hotel features 250 guest rooms, including 11 luxurious suites that fuse traditional touches with modern amenities.

“We are thrilled to open our first luxury hotel in Tokyo with the debut of The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a market that attracts both business and leisure travellers from across the globe,” says Lothar Pehl, senior vice president, operations and global initiatives, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific. “The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho presents indigenous flavours and colourful character within a rich cultural context, further elevating the luxury offerings in Japan’s capital city.”

For dining experiences, the hotel features four unique restaurants and bars, including Oasis Garden, an all-day dining venue with a sky garden setting; Washouku Souten, a Japanese restaurant with a contemporary dining room, sake bar, teppanyaki area, sushi counter and private dining room; Levita Sky Gallery Lounge, a sophisticated space serving tea, light snacks and cocktails; and illumiid The Bar, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Other facilities include a state-of-the-art business centre, the Kioi spa and fitness centre, operated by Swiss Perfection, which offers a large indoor pool, a range of spa treatments, a sauna, and personal training. www.luxurycollection.com/princegallerytokyokioicho
