DoubleTree by Hilton Opens in Chongqing

Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton have expanded their presence in southwestern China with the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing – Nan’an, offering business warriors a contemporary retreat from which to travel around the city.

DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing – Nan’an is located in the city’s commercial and cultural district, next to Chongqing International Convention & Exhibition Centre. Surrounded by high-end offices, government agencies and malls, the new hotel is also only 0.3 kilometers from Gongmao Metro Station, 11 kilometers from Chongqing Railway Station North, and 26 kilometers from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. Guests will also have easy access to Jiefangbei Central Business District, Hongya Cave, Chongqing People’s Hall and Three Gorges Museum.

“DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing – Nan’an follows the success of DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing Wanzhou and DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing North, and strengthens our presence in southwestern China,” says Bruce McKenzie, senior vice president of operations, Greater China & Mongolia, Hilton Worldwide. “DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing – Nan’an is a great addition to our portfolio, which now includes over 70 operating hotels and 200 hotels under development.”

The new hotel features 237 rooms and suites, with floor-to-ceiling windows and comprehensive amenities. Every room delivers the signature Sweet Dreams by DoubleTree Sleep Experience, which includes a custom-designed mattress, plush pillows and luxurious bed linens. Guests will enjoy a selection of gourmet teas and coffees, and the refreshing Aroma Actives line of natural skin and body care. As of August, guests of executive rooms will also have access to the Executive Lounge, which will serve complimentary breakfast, refreshments, and evening cocktails.

Guests are spoilt for choice with a variety of dining options. All-day dining restaurant Open features interactive chef pods serving Asian cuisines, Western grill items and fresh seafood, while Jia Chinese restaurant offers local, Cantonese and Sichuan specialties in an elegant setting, complete with seven private dining rooms. The Lobby Lounge is a place for guests to meet, work or relax, while enjoying pastries and drinks during the day, or ‘Mala’-style skewers and music in the evening.

With 1,848sqm of flexible meeting space, DoubleTree by Hilton Chongqing caters to any business and social events. The six function rooms and three 420sqm pillar-less ballrooms are equipped with the latest audio-visual technology.
