Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Opens in Hamilton, New Zealand

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has launched In New Zealand with the opening of Days Hotels & Suites by Wyndham Hamilton, offering business travellers a comfortable, cost-effective option in the country’s key growth market.

Set in a historic 19th century building, the new hotel has undergone significant refurbishments to turn the former Sudima Hamilton hotel into a 21st century property with airy guest rooms, and an all-new lobby bar, restaurant and reception area.

Everything You Need, Nothing You Don’t

The hotel boasts just 69 guest rooms and suites with a full complement of mod cons, including complimentary wifi, individual air-con and heating, flat-screen TVs, and – a nod to the green movement – environmentally-friendly bathroom amenities.

For business travellers, the hotel also offers a range of useful services including private meeting facilities, a lounge, laundry facilities, free breakfast, early check-in and late check-out, luggage storage, and onsite parking. Off-duty, the prime downtown location offers easy access to the best recreational offerings in Hamilton, including scenic Hamilton Gardens, the Seddon Park cricket oval, The Meteor Theatre, the Waikato Museum, the SKYCITY Hamilton entertainment hub, and the Hamilton Zoo.

A Dynamic & Growing City

“Days Inn by Wyndham is one of the world’s most recognizable hotel brands bringing warm, inviting and reliable hospitality to everyday travellers across the globe,” said Joon Aun Ooi, President and Managing Director of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, South East Asia and Pacific Rim. “Welcoming Days Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Hamilton to this important North Island city, an area where the brand will compete up within the midscale hotel segment, marks a major milestone in our global expansion strategy.

He added, “Hamilton is an established destination for business, but there’s a limited supply of world-class hotel brands in the Central Business District to support the city’s commercial expansion and theatre development. The Giarn Family Trust is an excellent partner and we look forward to elevating Hamilton’s lodging offerings with this latest addition.”
