Sexy New Look for W Singapore’s WOOBAR

Looking for a stylish location for your next corporate event or informal catch up? WOOBAR at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove has been given a bold new look that sets it among the city’s top spots to entertain.

An immaculate space where botanical design meets vibrant modernity, business travellers can hide away in the pulsing heart of W Hotels’ Cocktail Culture, as they soak in the idyllic landscape of the W Lawn and WET Pool, which are encased in majestic floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the lush greens of our island paradise. Guests can find themselves immersed in the hotel’s larger ‘glowing jungle’ design narrative as they sip on their choice of tipple in the Secret Garden’s alfresco seating area, the perfect perch to people-watch and revel beneath sunset hues amidst towering palm trees and the iconic glowing beansprouts.

Spearheaded by renowned interior design firm Hassell, the refreshed space brings to life a vision of ‘Ban Zu’, a settlement historically documented as a safe haven for settlers in Singapore dating back to the 14th Century and named after the Malay term ‘pancur’ meaning ‘spring of water’. An apt concept for the hotel’s boozy waterhole, WOOBAR welcomes guests into a lapping paradise laced with quirky design elements throughout.

Inextricably entwined with its tropical milieu, the main bar stands proudly beneath the whimsical cover of a resplendent ivory canopy, backed by lush edges interweaved with specula panels, doubling as a perfect backdrop for the coveted Instagram snapshot.

Unlike its nightlife-centric antecedent, the revitalised space adopts an intrinsically dual approach in embracing the day to night needs of our guests. With ample power sockets lining its perimeter, the shield of abstract panels impeding distraction, and natural sunlight flooding in throughout the day, the venue strikes the liminal space between sophisticated practicality and stylish comfort in the most impeccable manner.

It’s easy to envision work meetings easing into celebratory after-hours drinks, or the bliss of a serene yet productive afternoon, sipping on a cheeky cocktail whilst on a business trip.

Of course, the revamp in design and concept is assuredly accompanied by a significant refresh to WOOBAR’s gastronomic offerings. The introduction of the new Raw Bar brings an invigorating culmination of Asian flavours, conceptualised and created by WOOBAR’s newly on-boarded Sous Chef, Chef TJ.
