Virgin Australia To Launch Perth-Abu Dhabi Flights

Virgin Australia, the country’s second-largest airline, will launch its new flights between Perth, Australia and Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, from June 2017, offering travellers in the south direct services to the northern destination.

The new service will operate on Virgin Australia’s A330-200 aircraft, in partnership with Etihad Airways, national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and will provide direct connections to Etihad’s network, which includes 23 European destinations, 15 Middle East destinations and 10 African destinations.

Flights will depart Perth every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday at 23:05 arriving into Abu Dhabi at 06:35. The return service will leave Abu Dhabi every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 08:20 arriving into Perth at 23:25.

“Virgin Australia’s announcement today is great news for Western Australians, and people wanting to visit our great State,” says Kevin Brown, chief executive officer, Perth Airport. “This new direct service offers greater choice when travelling to Abu Dhabi, either as a final destination or for onward travel to Europe, the Americas and Africa.” www.virginaustralia.com
