United Airlines Adds Second Daily SFO-HKG Flight

Business travellers heading to the Bay Area for work are being offered more flexibility and convenience with the addition of a second daily nonstop flight between Hong Kong (HKG) and San Francisco (SFO) on United Airlines.

From October, passengers will be able to opt for a mid-day or late-night departure from Hong Kong to San Francisco. The new night flight from Hong Kong means business travellers will be able to board after a full day of productivity in the Harbour City; those catching the late-night departure from San Francisco will arrive early in Hong Kong, allowing them to hit the ground running on a full day.

United Airlines flight UA877 will depart San Francisco (SFO) at 1105pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and 10.50 pm on all other days; the flight will arrive in Hong Kong (HKG) at 610am (+2 days) and 5.50 am (+2 days) respectively.

From Hong Kong UA878 will operate daily at 1030pm, arriving in San Francisco at 6.50 pm.

All flights will be operated on a Boeing B777-200ER.

“The addition of a second daily nonstop flight between Hong Kong and San Francisco offers customers more flexibility and convenience when planning travel to San Francisco and beyond via our largest hub on the West Coast,” said Patrick Quayle, United’s vice president of International Network. “We look forward to offering customers a schedule that fits their travel needs with convenient times and greater connectivity to United’s extensive and growing network.”

The new flights will begin on October 27, 2019. Tickets are already available to purchase through the United Airlines website.
