Park Hyatt Opens in Suzhou

The Park Hyatt Suzhou has opened overlooking the city’s freshwater Jinji Lake in the heart of Suzhou Industrial Park.

Conceived as a refined, contemporary take on a traditional Suzhou mansion by New York architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox, the new hotel blends the architectural heritage, exquisite craftsmanship, and artistic elegance of the city with vibrant modern design.

Home to 178 elegant guest rooms and suites ranging from 50-173sqm, the Park Hyatt Suzhou’s interiors have been crafted by multi-award-winning design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates and feature a serene blue-green palette inspired by legendary Lake Tai. A modern take on traditional Suzhou interiors, the new hotel’s guest rooms feature Asian-inspired details, from brush-ink printed screens to crab-apple shaped mirrors. Standard rooms offer a semi-private ‘pavilion’, with living and dining/study areas, while the hotel’s 19 spacious suites feature separate living spaces, making them well suited for intimate corporate meetings.

Led by executive chef Vincenzo Carbone, Park Hyatt boasts three distinctive restaurants and bars, making it an ideal gastronomical destination in the city. Xizhou Hall focuses on healthy locally-inspired Chinese and international fare, while the distinctively designed Living Room is a striking space with a double-story ceiling where guests can enjoy light refreshments and premium drinks throughout the day. Apartment 208 specialises in prime steak, sustainable seafood, and artisanal cold cuts and cheese paired with a curated selection of world-class whiskies, wines, and Champagnes.
