Ovolo Hits the Valley in Brisbane

Ovolo The Valley has opened in the heart of Brisbane’s vibrant and cultural precinct Fortitude Valley.

Inspired by the eclectic culture and iconic history of Fortitude Valley, Ovolo The Valley draws guests into a whimsical oasis of colour and art, with surprising hints of quirkiness, custom wallpaper, eccentric furniture and illustrations curated throughout all spaces and rooms.

With a rooftop swimming pool looking over the unique vista of Fortitude Valley, a gym, a sauna and a unique meeting room aptly named, ‘B.I.G’, the project has been led by acclaimed global architecture firm Woods Bagot,  award-winning designers behind the revitalisation of The Ivy, Sydney and The Garden House, Melbourne.

The exceptional design and bespoke aesthetic encompass guests from the moment they step into the foyer and throughout all 103 rooms. Intended as a design-seeker’s paradise, Ovolo The Valley serves up a frenzy of rich colour, commissioned art pieces, vivid wallpaper and playful furniture that radiates with personality and a whole lot of fabulous.

Guests have the opportunity to select from five unique room styles, including the Rockstar Suites, each of which features an indulgent king size bed, separate lounge, stand up bar and dining area with dining table, an entertainment system and original art pieces by Daniel R. Watkins and Gerwyn Davies.

Ovolo The Valley

Ovolo Hotel’s ‘effortless living’ ethos is no stranger at Ovolo The Valley with 24-hour room service, large flat-screen televisions, Google Chromecast, additional wall plugs, phone chargers in every room and Amazon’s Alexa cloud-based voice service, able to assist guests with just about every command. Ovolo The Valley, like the group’s other hotels, will be a home-away-from-home for those who stay.

“Our brief to Woods Bagot was that each of our hotels must have their own unique personality and style, inspired by local surrounds, culture, heritage and Ovolo’s playful, forward-thinking spirit, and they’ve delivered exactly that,” says founder and CEO of the Ovolo Group, Girish Jhunjhnuwala. “There is an element of fantasy, escapism and play in Ovolo The Valley. We’re positioning it as the perfect contemporary oasis to escape our busy urban lives.”
