Following the successful opening of three hotels in Malaysia within the last six months, Travelodge has unveiled their newest property, Travelodge Georgetown, in the UNESCO heritage enclave of Georgetown, Penang.
Designed to appeal to the self-sufficient business traveller, the 131-room Travelodge Georgetown is a 30-minute drive from the Penang International Airport and offers quick access to Penang Times Square, the ferry terminals and New World Park.
Both public transport and taxis are also readily available outside the hotel entrance, so guests are always placed in the heart of the action within this vibrant Malaysian city. Its location within Georgetown also provides easy access to various tourist attractions, such as Penang Hill and the Kek Lok Si Temple.
The Travelodge Georgetown offers Standard, Superior and Deluxe rooms for both individuals and couples. All rooms are designed with chic minimalism in mind; dark oak floorboards and a vibrant colour scheme compliment the Art Deco furniture to a tee. Additionally, guests can enjoy complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi access, a flat-screen television with satellite access, a mini-fridge and an electronic in-room safe.
Travelodge Georgetown also features “Zest”, an all-day dining cafe, two bars and a small private space to accommodate small meetings for up to 20 people.
