New Spice & Barley Gastro Lounge Opens in Bangkok

Combining authentic Asian dining with a unique laid back ambience, Spice & Barley is a brand new gastro lounge to open by the banks of the Chaopraya River.

A meeting of worlds and flavours, ‘Spice’ evokes the pan-Asian cuisine that takes centre stage in a menu curated by celebrity chef Sam Leong, founder of Michelin-starred restaurant Forest at Singapore’s Equarius Hotel, while ‘Barley’ denotes the venue’s signature beers exclusively selected by Belgian brewery Cornelissen.

The two elements come together in an indoor-outdoor setting, where guests can relax, drink, dine, and share. The carefully crafted food and beer menus, teamed with an exceptional selection of spirits and cocktails are enhanced by a unique roster of Chinese-inspired live music and performance.

Combining authentic Asian dining with a unique laid back ambience, Spice & Barley is a brand new gastro lounge to open by the banks of the Chaopraya River.

The lounges concept is based on a fictional tale of three Sichuan sisters, immortalised in portraits displayed throughout the lounge. The story follows a poet, a performer, and a cook scattered to the winds to seek their fortunes. Their meandering journeys are woven into the decor and their adventures expressed in the cuisine, the drinks, and the spaces. Spice & Barley invites guests to celebrate the sisters’ happy reunion on the banks of the Chao Phraya; to discover dramatic displays on The Stage; share a dish or a drink at the Barley Bar and take in the view from the Pepper Deck.

Located on the third floor of Riverside Plaza, Spice & Barley is open Wednesday to Sunday from 12.00 noon – 2.30 pm for lunch menu and from 5.00 pm – 10.30 pm for dinner.
