French-inspired Business Lunches in Hong Kong

Offering great value two and three-courses, the newly opened Scarlett Cafe & Wine Bar is a good pick for busy execs looking to wheel and deal over lunch.

Ideal for casual business lunches, Scarlett boasts a lunchtime menu that includes classic sandwiches and burgers, free-range organic rotisserie chicken, salads and pasta, with a two-course menu priced at HK$88 and a three-course menu available for HK$98.

The new space brings the ‘industrial chic, French cafe and wine bar’ concept to Hong Kong’s trendy Kimberley Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The blackboard menus, metal and distressed wood décor, open kitchen, and  inviting bar which have made the concept so popular are all present in the Hong Kong iteration, as are a reasonably priced menu that boasts good portions and prime products.

Perfect for casual business chats over drinks, or perhaps winding down after hours, Scarlett also promises the ‘best value French wines in Hong Kong’ through its own imports and frequent wine promotions, with prices starting at HK$220 a bottle, HK$45 a glass, and half of the 70 French labels priced at under HK$500.

Complementing the impressive wine cellar, the diverse evening menu features a large selection of tapas, pates and terrines, cheese and charcuterie boards, pasta, meat dishes, and chef specials.

Boasting both indoor and alfresco seating, Scarlett is open from 7am for American-style breakfasts that include fresh pastries, waffles, pancakes, and egg specialties.

Weekly promotions include weekday happy hours between 4pm and 7pm; a complimentary bottle of house wine on purchase of a 1-metre long cold cuts and cheese platter on Mondays; Ladies’ night on Tuesdays; and Sunday brunch with selected bottles of rose for HK4200. www.randblab.com/scarlett
