Morton’s in Shanghai Offers a New Bar Menu

Shanghai’s premium steakhouses – Morton’s Steak and Seafood Grille as well as Morton’s of Chicago, The Steakhouse – has revamped their “Power Hour” with a new bar menu, offering business travellers a wide selection of Morton’s new premium bar bites as well as innovative cocktails from 5pm to 7pm on weekdays.

Morton’s premium bar bites feature the chicken goujonettes served with mustard mayonnaise dipping sauce; prime cheeseburgers; and fresh cut potato chips with blue cheese dipping sauce. New dishes to the menu include the short rib steak tacos with cilantros, onions, tomatoes and chipotle mayonnaise. For heartier options, diners can snack on the popular four petit filet mignon sandwiches or the parmesan truffle matchstick fries. The “Power Hour” menu offers a wide selection of cocktails and martinis, including the Morton’s classics – gin or vodka martini with optional blue cheese olives – and new additions such as the Dream Berry, Moscow Mule and Palm Beacher.

Alongside the all-star bar bites and new “Power Hour” special drinks, Morton’s has also introduced creative cocktails including the fiery Ginger Cat Paw, made from pineapple infused Smirnoff vodka, fresh lime juice, and hints of ginger and mint; Masalita, a concoction of Olmeca Reposado tequila, Cointeau, fresh lime juice, cucumber, coriander and spicy Jalapeno peppers. Another lively addition to the Morton’s menu is the Sake Mojito, shaken with sake, fresh lime, sugar syrup, fresh mint, and topped with club soda.

Morton’s of Chicago, The Steakhouse will open the Sky Bar on the rooftop of Shanghai ifc mall on April 22, allowing business travellers the chance to take in the views of both the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Shanghai Tower while sipping on cocktails and snacking on the new bar bites every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 10pm. www.mortons.com/shanghai
