Mecure Perth Relaunches Beccaria Restaurant & Bar

The Mercure Perth hotel has re-launched its Beccaria Bar and Restaurant, showcasing a contemporary new finish for guests and revised menu that reflects its prime location in Perth’s vibrant city centre.

Situated near Perth’s Central Law Courts, and ideally suited for business entertaining, Beccaria Bar and Restaurant is aptly named after innovative Italian criminologist and philosopher Cesare Beccaria, and has re-launched after an extensive refurbishment by award-winning Melbourne interior design firm Elsie+Betty.

Offering comfortable seating, warm timbers and custom Cintemani pendants, Beccaria is the perfect place to linger over a glass of wine with someone special or for convivial gatherings with friends and family.

The food menu is modern, complemented by classic Italian touches, and local West Australian produce features prominently. Indulge in delicate Shark Bay scallops, plump Margaret River venison, Exmouth prawns and Gold Band snapper from the Kimberley.

Executive Chef Sharath Kancharla and his team create flavoursome combinations that are sure to impress the tastebuds. From hearty slow-cooked ragout to soft pillowy pumpkin gnocchi and melt-in-your-mouth horseradish and potato cannelloni.

Beccaria’s Chocolate Dome dessert provides an element of ‘dinner theatre’. Guests will observe as their waiter delicately pours warm chocolate ganache over the dome to slowly reveal a decadent peanut and chocolate fudge centre.

In addition to an array of Western Australia wines, craft beers and spirits, diners are invited to taste Mercure’s Flavours from the Cellar wine list which includes a wide selection of quality, regional wines at affordable prices – specially selected in consultation with renowned wine judge and consultant, Jim McMahon.

Before or after dinner, Beccaria Bar beckons. Guests can pull up a stool at the Italian Calacatta marble bar and chat to Mercure’s talented bartenders as they stir and shake new takes on classic cocktails, or enjoy a drink and light nibbles on relaxed lounge chairs. www.mercureperth.com.au
