American Airlines and China Southern Enter into Lounge Partnership

American Airlines and China Southern have strengthened their ties with a new partnership that will reciprocate lounge benefits for the airlines’ passengers from this month.

Qualifying American Airlines customers – Admirals Club members in any cabin, business class customers, and AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum and Platinum Pro in any cabin – will have access to China Southern’s 38 Sky Pearl lounges across China.

China Southern Sky Pearl Gold members and first-class or business class passengers will have access to 50 Admirals Clubs globally.

The new partnership between American Airlines and China Southern further strengthens the airlines’ trans-Pacific growth plans.

China Southern is a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance and is one of China’s “Big Three” airlines (alongside Air China and China Eastern Airlines), as well as the world’s seventh-largest airline measured by passengers carried and Asia‘s largest airline in fleet size. The airline currently operates 2,000 daily flights to 200 destinations.

oneworld’s American Airlines offers nearly 6,700 flights per day to nearly 350 destinations in more than 50 countries. The airline has hubs in Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington, D.C.
