Two transatlantic airlines are teaming up to open an exclusive new lounge-bar at London’s O2 arena. This summer, Virgin Atlantic and Delta Airlines will collaborate on the new project, called the NY-LON lounge.
The aviation-themed space will be able to accommodate up to 400 guests, and will contain a bar and seating area, as well as a ‘secret space’ for meetings, private dining, and other small events.
The new facility, scheduled to open in late July, will be open seven days a week and will be managed by Levy Restaurants UK.
Members of Virgin’s Flying Club and Delta’s Sky Miles loyalty schemes will enjoy a range of discounts and special offers when visiting NY-LON.
“We’ve created NY-LON as a celebration of our transatlantic network, which provides customers with a seamless, more enjoyable way to fly between the UK and US,” said Virgin Atlantic’s senior vice president of marketing and customer experience, Reuben Arnold. “Our lounge bar will offer customers a brand new experience at the O2 that showcases our airlines’ world-class service.”
“Opening NY-LON is the next exciting step in our partnership and we look forward to helping travellers enjoy the Delta-Virgin Atlantic brand of hospitality for which we’re famous when they next visit the O2,” added Delta’s senior vice president of marketing, Tim Mapes.
