Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, will launch a fifth weekly flight from Astana (now called Nur Sultan) to London Heathrow, commencing June 2017.
The new direct services between Central Asia and the British capital will offer business travellers better connectivity between Europe and Asia as well as the emerging economies of the CIS region, which includes Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Uzbekistan.
The additional Air Astana flights between Astana and London will be operated on Sundays, in addition to existing operations on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with a Boeing 757 configured with 16 Business Class and 108 Economy Class seats. Flight duration from Astana to London is seven hours and 10 minutes, with the return flight lasting six hours and 25 minutes.
The airline offers international transit passengers convenient connections to cities across Kazakhstan, as well as to various destinations across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Kazakhstan’s Air Astana is based in the former capital, Almaty, and has hubs in both Almaty and Nur-Sultan. The airline, together with its low-cost subsidiary FlyArystan, operates scheduled, domestic and international services on 64 routes, including to points in Asia, India, and Europe.
