New Weekend Brunch in Hong Kong has Korean Leanings

Located in the heart of Hong Kong’s Lan Kwai Fong entertainment area, newly opened contemporary Korean restaurant Jinjuu has launched an innovative semi-buffet weekend brunch that’s perfectly suited for business travellers in the city over the weekend and looking to shake off the hectic work week.

Helmed by London-based chef Judy Joo, Jinjuu is one of the hottest tables in town.  With a brunch menu encompassing both traditional and contemporary Korean fare, guests can choose from an enticing array of starters, including kimbap, fried chicken, fresh seafood, and even bespoke bibimbap. Main menu items include Korean favourites such as bulgogi fillet steak with grilled vegetables and straw potatoes; Iberico bossam pork belly; and kalbi jjim USDA short ribs. Vegetarians can opt for grilled seasonal vegetables served with tempura shimeji mushrooms and yuja aioli.

The new brunch experience is priced at HK$400 (US$51) per person, with the option of free-flow Louis Roederer Brut NV Champagne and house wines for an additional HK$200 (US$26).

For an additional HK$50 (US$6) per person, customers can indulge themselves in a special tasting platter of Jinjuu’s famous desserts, which include ‘snickers hotteok’ stuffed with salted caramel and roasted peanuts; fried apple mandoo pie; and hazelnut and gochugaru brownie. www.jinjuu.com/hk
