A Lexington Hotel to Open in Busan

Vantage Hotels’ Lexington brand will open a 340-room business hotel in Busan, South Korea’s second largest city, in November 2017. It will be a full-service hotel and carry Vantage’s Value Hotel Worldwide name, by which Lexington Hotels are known in the country.

The 24-floor Value Hotel Worldwide in Busan will feature a sky lounge, a fitness centre, a gift shop, a business centre, and a range of meeting rooms. An important part of the redevelopment of the city’s North Port area, the new hotel will be close to Busan International Ferry Terminal and Busan Train Station.

“Only two of the 17 business hotels in Busan are in the same part of town as our hotel site, so we look forward to providing a much-needed lodging option there,” says Bill Hanley, group president of Vantage’s international division. “It’s also exciting to be included in the North Port Redevelopment Project, which is transforming the original port into a cultural centre and tourist destination.”

The property in Busan is the sixth new build in the country to be introduced by Vantage’s master licensee for South Korea, Service Legend, Inc. A location in Seogwipo is opening this month; a property in Sejong City is expected to be completed this December; and hotels in Jeju City and Gangneung are set to open in 2017. www.joinvantagehotels.com
