Mixing Business & Pleasure at Emporio Antico

Australian fine food retailer Emporio Antico has opened a unique Tasting Lounge concept at its Wan Chai fine foods divan, offering business travellers a unique culinary insight into the world’s best cuisine, and corporate groups and intimate and luxurious venue for events and celebrations.

The brainchild of Matthew Antico, who’s family have been involved in Australia’s fresh produce scene for generations, the new Tasting Lounge was originally offered to the city’s top chefs, so that they could graze their way through Matthew’s world-class produce. Now the EMporio Antico Tasting Lounge offers an innovative approach to dining for corporate travellers, with a selection of tasting and chef menus are available at both the tasting counter or in the lavish dining room, using the myriad gourmet products the company imports for Hong Kong and Macau’s leading hotels and restaurants. Some of the most popular ingredients including black and white truffles, aged balsamic vinegars, beluga and oscietra caviar, saffron, lobster and crayfish, as well as artisanal cheeses, chutneys, jams and sauces. All this goodness is matched with a world-class wine and luxury spirit list.

Part private kitchen, part tasting divan, the Emporio Antico Tasting Lounge caters to just 30 guests in a stylish living room filled with Chesterfield lounge. A la carte corporate dinners can opt for lunch, afternoon tea or dinner in the lounge or at the tasting counter, with menus created by Michelin-star chef Roland Schuler and 2013 Hong Kong Young Chef winner Edgar Sanuy that are laced with jet-fresh, often hard-to-source ingredients.

Alternatively, book the Tasting Lounge for private corporate events, from intimate launches to boardroom sit downs to farewell parties. Customised menus are available to ensure sumptuous catering and a night to remember. www.emporioantico.com
