United Links San Francisco with Hangzhou

United Airlines has launched thrice weekly non-stop flights between San Francisco and Hangzhou, China, allowing business travellers the chance to fly between the commercial centre of Northern California and the capital of Zhejiang Province.

Operating with a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which features 48 flat-bed seats in BusinessFirst, 88 standard seats in Economy Plus and 166 seats in Economy, flight UA 982 departs San Francisco at 2.20pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and arrives in Hangzhou at 6.10pm the following day. The return flight, UA 983, leaves Hangzhou at 10.55am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and lands in San Francisco at 7.50am the same day.

“The Hangzhou service is a great addition to our growing portfolio of mainland China destinations, including three interior cities that no other airline serves from the United States,” says Marcel Fuchs, United’s vice president of Atlantic and Pacific Sales. “This new route provides U.S. travellers with convenient access to one of China’s most dynamic cities, while giving Chinese travellers direct access to United’s premier San Francisco gateway with options for onward connections to our extensive network of service throughout the U.S., Canada and Latin America.” www.united.com
