United’s SFO Polaris Lounge Voted Best in the World

Business travellers flying United Airlines out of San Francisco International Airport start their journey on a high note at the United Polaris lounge that’s just been voted the best business class lounge in the world.

“Our customers are telling us that the Polaris lounges are a gamechanger in providing modern, tranquil spaces to relax, recharge and enjoy top-notch food and drinks. The entire Polaris experience begins in the lounge, which is why we’ve placed so much emphasis on getting it right,” said Mark Krolick, United’s vice president of marketing. “Being honoured with this award is a testament to our revolutionary efforts to continue to exceed our customers’ high expectations.”

United’s San Francisco lounge (read more about it in our recent review) takes the pain out of the airport experience with a tranquil space that offers plenty of comfort. A custom scent, curated music playlist and subtle mood lighting lull the senses into total relaxation, giving guests the chance to enjoy the lounge’s facilities.

Like the other United Polaris lounges in the United States, the San Francisco lounge has an array of seating, including signature oversized chairs with integrated tables, privacy dividers and lamps. Visitors will also enjoy complimentary high-speed WiFi, gourmet meals, and even catch a nap at the separate area where daybeds are outfitted with Saks Fifth Avenue blankets and pillows.

The airline also has United Polaris lounges at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport.
