The Great Room Opens New Hong Kong Branch

The Great Room is adding to its growing regional network of coworking spaces with a new flagship location in the heart of Hong Kong’s Core Business District, Central.

Opening in Q4 this year, the new space – with a net floor area of about 21,000 sq ft in the prestigious Cheung Kong Center, Central – is the company’s second in the city after the overwhelming success of its One Taikoo Place location’s disruptive experience-driven business model.

As the way people work continues to evolve and business travel recovers to pre-pandemic levels, The Great Room anticipates more demand for coworking spaces that combine world-class aesthetics with intuitive services.

Conquering Central

With several spaces in key cities like Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong, as well as global access to over 150+ locations across the US and Europe, The Great Room serves a wide range of innovation-driven members, including technology, finance, legal, and professional services companies. The company aims to change the way people work, meet, and socialise through an elevated, hospitality-inspired model.

Joining the big players in Hong Kong’s financial hub sees The Great Room’s second location in the city land in the prestigious Cheung Kong Center, the 62-storey grade A building, designed by acclaimed architects Leo A Daly and Cesar Pelli completed in 1999. Designed with the highest standards of performance, aesthetics and comfort in mind, The Great Room joins a roster of world-class firms from finance, banking, asset management to other thriving sectors.

Primely located in Central with convenient access to shopping and transportation services, The Great Room, Cheung Kong Center, will offer everything from well-appointed amenity and event spaces, tailored furniture and lighting in the dedicated offices, to the inherent hospitality-inspired coworking experience – all perched on the 45th floor with breathtaking 360-degree views of Hong Kong’s stunning skyline, harbour and verdant mountains.

Members at The Great Room at One Taikoo Place will also have access to this unique space in the heart of the city. Playing on various colours, textures, and materiality, The Great Room at Cheung Kong Center is an art-filled and timeless space which allows their members to celebrate the reimagined glamour from the past and write a new chapter to continue the legacy.

The Great Room in Cheung Kong Center will have around 22 Dedicated Offices, including two enterprise units. The Dedicated Office Memberships in Central start at a monthly rate of HK$15,500 per desk while the city-wide Hot Desk Membership starts from HK$3,600/month.

Soaring to Great Heights

The Cheung Kong Center space is one of three locations opening across Asia in the coming months, underscoring the company’s hyper growth as it prepares to meet demand brought on by the loosening of restrictions and reopening of borders throughout the region.

“As companies are in search of the perfect workplace solution which helps build valuable communities and provides access to a network of workplaces designed for collaboration, productivity and  engagement in the post-covid era, flexible workspace operators like us will thrive,” says Jaelle Ang, CEO and Co-founder of The Great Room. “As a key financial centre, Hong Kong is a very important springboard for our expansion strategy across Asia Pacific. We aim to expand our footprint in the region with eyes on Sydney, Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo to help our clients continue to grow and thrive through these changing times.”

The other spaces, due to open in Spring 2023, include a four-storey conservation shophouse in the heart of Singapore’s Chinatown area and a forward-looking space in the prestigious LEED Gold & Well Gold-certified Park Silom retail, dining and office hub in Bangkok.
