Thai AirAsia to Launch Phuket – Wuhan Services

Thai AirAsia is set to launch direct daily flights between Phuket in southern Thailand and Wuhan, China on February 1, allowing corporate travellers the chance to fly into the capital of Hubei province.

Operating an Airbus A320 aircraft, the outbound flight, FD808, will depart Phuket at 17:25 and arrive in Wuhan at 23:00; while the return leg, FD809, will leave Wuhan at 23:45 to arrive in Phuket at 03:15.

“Our inaugural flight for the Phuket – Wuhan route will be on 1 February, which is also the start of the Chinese New Year Festival,” says Santisuk Klongchaiya, director of commercial for Thai AirAsia. “We are confident that AirAsia’s low fares, strong on-time record and well-recognized brand in China will draw the people of Wuhan to Phuket and help stimulate its economy.” www.airasia.com
