St. Regis Debuts in Macao

Starwood has expanded its St. Regis brand to Macao, marking the brand’s seventh hotel in Greater China. Located within the Cotai Strip, the 400-room hotel is less than ten minutes from the Macao International Airport and offers corporate travellers convenient access to an endless array of nightlife and culinary experiences.

“There is an ever-increasing demand for luxury around the globe and Macao is no exception, especially with the recent proliferation of luxury brands in the market and a record number of visitors to the destination in 2015,” says Jim Petrus, global brand leader, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. “The original St. Regis hotel opened in New York City in 1904, and the debut of The St. Regis Macau marks the brand’s 36th property, following openings this year in Istanbul, Mumbai and Dubai.”

The St. Regis Macao houses the signature St. Regis Bar, where guests can indulge in a selection of fine wines and spirits, as well as Maria do Leste – the hotel’s twist on the legendary Bloody Mary cocktail – which was first created at the brand’s flagship hotel in New York in the early 1900s. To melt away stress, head to The Iridium Spa for a revitalizing journey or take a dip in the expansive outdoor pool, complete with 2,457sqm of deck space and private cabanas.

Catering to all kinds of business and social events, the hotel also features the regal Astor Grand Ballroom, which seats 350 guests, as well as five smaller meeting rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, two stately boardrooms, and an exclusive VIP meeting room. www.starwoodhotels.com
