Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has continued its expansion in China with the opening of Sheraton Beijing Lize Hotel.
Part of Fengtai District, the new Sheraton is located in the new Lize Financial Business District, an office and retail hub that will host over 500 banking and financial companies. Positioned with strategic access to the primary Ring Road thoroughfares, the hotel is within a short drive from major attractions and commercial hubs including the Beijing Financial Street and both major railway stations in the southwest. The upcoming Lize area will include a soon-to-be-built city terminal with direct rail access to the new Beijing Daxing International Airport, giving greater connectivity to guests travelling to the city for business or leisure.
Inspired by the magnificent landscapes and natural beauty of Qinghai Province, the hotel’s soaring lines and distinctive curved structure reflect the mountainous plateaus that are emblematic of the region. The 23-meter atrium lobby, flanked by towering glass murals that depict the great peaks and clear rivers of Qinghai, gives an immediate sense of grandeur, while 16 large ceramic vases around the murals lend classic Chinese aesthetic while a large bronze statue at the entrance represents the earth and mountains.

“Sheraton Hotels and Resorts is often one of the first international brands to enter into new, emerging destinations and in 1985, Sheraton was the first international-branded hotel in China when we opened our doors in Beijing,” says Mike Fulkerson, vice president, Brand & Marketing, Asia Pacific, Marriott International. “Now, more than 30 years later, we’re excited to open the third Sheraton in the city with the Sheraton Beijing Lize Hotel situated in the upcoming Lize Financial Business District. We hope that it will be a gathering place for guests and locals alike to come together.”
