Qatar Airways Sees Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Qatar Airways marks its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Think Pink experiences onboard and at its lounges at Hamad International Airport.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, passengers are being offered custom-designed limited-edition BRIC’S amenity kits and pink-themed special menus.

Designed by Qatar Airways in collaboration with stylish Italian luggage brand BRIC’S, the limited-edition amenity kits are made from vegan leather and are offered in two different designs – a pink and white kit for female passengers, and a black kit for male passengers, both with the iconic breast cancer ribbon prints. Each kit includes products from Italy’s Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, the environmentally friendly olive oil company, including lip balm, hydrating facial mist, and anti-ageing moisturiser in special limited edition ‘pink’ branding.

On flights departing from Doha, passengers travelling in First Class and Business Class are offered a refreshing pink mocktail, a special ‘Think Pink’ menu featuring a themed afternoon tea, and desserts featuring the iconic breast cancer ribbon made from sugar paste. Economy Class passengers are served an exclusive pink-themed cheesecake and offered the limited-edition breast cancer awareness amenity kit on select long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights.

“We are dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer,” says Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker. “This month is a reminder of the challenges that members of our Qatar Airways family have had to face, and the importance of support we provide for those diagnosed and in recovery, as we fight together to overcome this disease. We value the health of our passengers and women world-wide, and are proud to demonstrate our commitment by raising awareness of the importance of self-assessment during our annual support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”

A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was recently named ‘Airline of the Year’ at the 2021 World Airline Awards, managed by the international air transport rating organisation, Skytrax. It was also named ‘World’s Best Business Class’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Airline Seat’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Onboard Catering’ and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’.
