Qatar Adds Flights to Bucharest

Qatar Airways will double the amount of flights on its Doha to Bucharest route from this summer, enhancing the service from a daily to double-daily offering, providing business travellers with more flight options to the capital and largest city of Romania.

Operating with an A320 aircraft, the daily scheduled service is set to increase to a 10-times-weekly offering from June 2, and to 14 flights per week from August 1. The aircraft offers individual seat-back television screens which provide all passengers with the next-generation, interactive on board entertainment system, Oryx One, which features a choice of up to 2,000 entertainment options.

“As a global airline, we are committed to connecting Romania to our worldwide network of more than 150 destinations through our award-winning hub and home, Hamad International Airport,” says Qatar Airways group chief executive Akbar Al Baker. “As such, we are delighted to be celebrating the fifth anniversary since Qatar Airways commenced its direct flights to Bucharest, by increasing our capacity and frequency on this route from a daily to double-daily service, connecting business and leisure passengers to Doha and onwards, through seamless transfers within one of the world’s newest airport.” www.qatarairways.com
