Airports around the world are working harder to become restful, relaxing and efficient spaces from which to start a journey. But as always there are the exceptions, recently uncovered by travel site sleepinginairports.net in its annual World’s Worst Airports list. With travellers from across the globe rating airports on their cleanliness, customer service and faculties, many of the top offenders will come as no surprise. Islamabad Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Pakistan topped the list, with New York’s LaGuardia coming in last in the top ten listing and Paris’ Beauvais-Tille in at 6th. Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, regarded by many travellers as a nightmare, maintained its position on the list for the third consecutive year, at fourth place, with the specialist Hajj terminal at Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah King Abdulaziz International Airport claiming the second place.www.sleepinginairports.net/2014/worst-airports.htm
