Pentahotels to Open Second Hong Kong Property

Pentahotels continues its growth in Asia with the opening of a second Hong Kong Hotel. The 298-room Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun, is scheduled to open in autumn 2016, and will be the fourth pentahotel in Asia. Pentahotels is part of the Rosewood Hotel Group.

The former high-rise building will be completely renovated to fall in with the brand’s design-led style. Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun will aim to appeal to independent-minded business and leisure travellers. Offering an alternative to Hong Kong’s urban landscape, the Tuen Mun location is a seaside oasis surrounded by seafood markets, heritage sites and Buddhist monasteries, yet provides easy access to the main business areas.

For business travellers, the heart of the hotel will be a welcome after-hours destination. Pentalounge replaces the traditional lobby and reception found in most hotels with a hip bar. The 24/7 space will be a laidback lounge during the day, and transform into a stylish bar by night.

“Since we opened Pentahotel Kowloon in 2013, we’ve seen how the Penta concept really resonates with both Hong Kong visitors and residents,” said Rosewood Hotel Group’s CEO, Sonia Cheng. “Guests love the distinctive design as well as our creative approach to every aspect of the hotel experience, from the cool lobby gathering place to streamlined, practical conveniences. We’re confident that Pentahotel Tuen Mun will further extend the Penta brand’s success in Hong Kong when it opens next year.” www.pentahotels.com
