Paris Airport Introduces New Services for HK Visitors

Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (Paris-CDG) has unveiled its ‘Ultimate Shopping & Dining Experience’, allowing business travellers from Hong Kong to enjoy a range of special privileges, services and offers in 2016.

Club VVIP, an exclusive new concierge service based on invitation-by-a-member process, will be launched in October 2016, providing pre-order shopping at the airport and a personalized Meet & Greet service. Cantonese-speaking staff will be taking care of VVIP visitors through arrival, transit and departure. Concierges can even arrange access to exclusive locations and events in Paris.

Opening in June 2016, “Instant Paris”, a new airport transfer lounge, will bring connecting passengers the rare luxury of relaxing and rejuvenating between flights. Styled after a boutique hotel, it will comprise the “La salle à manger” dining room, “Le spa” for massages, “La bibliothèque” library, and a 2,500sqm Club Lounge. The innovative new features designed for long-haul travellers on lengthy stopovers will include 80 rooms with private bathrooms for business travellers to relax.

The expanded range of services for Hong Kong and Chinese visitors also includes a website with digital interactive maps, real-time flight details and other practical information in traditional Chinese, plus a Worldwide City Guide app to 70 cities. Dedicated Cantonese-speaking staff will also teach visitors to use the airport’s electronic tax refund system (PABLO), with reimbursement at a currency exchange counter or via bank transfer.

“Paris-CDG now combines a rich range of French ‘art de vivre’ experiences with attentive consideration of the needs of foreign travellers and consistent upgrading of luxury facilities, reflected by the latest recognition among the world’s top airports,” says Paris Aéroport deputy CEO Laure Baume.“Paris Aéroport is a place not only to transit, but also enjoy, as a fashion hub with nearly all the top designer names, and opportunity to experience fine French gastronomy as well as a cultural interlude, with its own museum.”

Visitors can also indulge in France’s finest fine dining among 100 restaurants and bars. Among them, Guy Martin, an ambassador for French gastronomy with two Michelin stars at his famous Palais Royal restaurant Grand Véfour, brings gourmet dining at his airport restaurant I Love Paris, twinned with neighbouring fine fast food restaurant MiYou. www.parisaeroport.fr
