Novotel Brisbane has unveiled its newest dining outlet, GourmetBar, providing corporate travellers with an urban dining and wining spot in the River City for casual meetings.
Located in Spring Hill, the inner suburb of Brisbane, within the open-plan lobby of Novotel Brisbane hotel, the GourmetBar by Novotel has been created to deliver simple balanced meals made with locally-sourced ingredients.
Opening daily from 6.30 am until late (licensed until midnight), the venue boasts a modern décor and design, with a welcoming bar area with floor-to-ceiling windows, high backed two-seater sofas and standalone seating adjacent to an informal library area, making for an ideal meal and meeting space.
Chef duo Simone Zechner and Boris Villier will work together to serve up a day to night menu, providing a selection of fresh, healthy food catering to different meal periods. A dedicated barista team has been enlisted to service the morning crowd with Australia’s first Slayer Steam coffee machine; while a bar crew will serve mixology, specialty spirits, fine wines, and craft beers every night.
“We’ve put a lot of thought into the design of the space so that the overall ambiance, mood, and décor of the GourmetBar evolves subtly throughout the day to deliver a different experience, depending on the hour and occasion,” says GourmetBar venue manager, Alisha Brennan. “Behind the service area, for example, we’ve installed a state-of-the-art revolving display, that moves from modern homewares to match the mood of the breakfast bar crowd during morning trade to a full display of whiskey and wine items for those coming in for an evening bar experience when the sun goes down.”
