New Digs in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City will soon have a new drawcard for business travellers to the Vietnamese city with the opening of The Reverie Saigon on September 1, 2015.

The 286-room property is located in the 39-story Times Square building in the heart of Ho Chi Minh’s District 1 neighbourhood, the financial and commercial hub of the city.

“With this hotel, we have tried to create an experience of accommodation that is so singular, so splendid and so unexpected in the one-time Pearl of the Orient that the hotel becomes a place that stays with guests long after they’ve checked-out,” said the hotel’s general manager, Herbert Laubichler-Pinchler.

Rooms range in size from 43 to 53sqm, and the suites from 63 to 313sqm.

Ideal for corporate guests of the hotel, the property houses fifteen versatile function spaces, including the La Scala Grand Ballroom, the largest ballroom in the city.

The hotel also features three distinctive restaurants – The Royal Pavilion is the Chinese offering; R&J serves authentic Italian dishes; while Cafe Cardinal dishes up French fare. Also on hand is The Long @ Times Square, a ground-floor cafe with a 48-metre bar counter that vaules the distance between Dong Khoi Street and Nguyen Hue Boulevard, the city’s two most fashionable thoroughfares.

After hours, guests can enjoy the wealth of wellness facilities available at the hotel.

The Spa spans 1,200sqm over two floors, and includes 10 treatment rooms and a beauty salon; the hotel’s 120sqm gym has an expansive suite of TechnoGym machines; while the 24-metre swimming pool also has outdoor jacuzzis and indoor steam rooms and saunas around it.

Complementing the new hotel is The Reverie Residence, a collection of 89 one and two-bedroom serviced apartments that might better suit business travellers in town for an extended stay. www.thereveriesaigon.com
