Marriott’s Moxy Hotels has opened Moxy Putrajaya just outside Kuala Lumpur, marking the brand’s exciting debut in Malaysia.

Located in Putrajaya, the administrative capital of Malaysia and famed for its late-20th-century architecture, Moxy Putrajaya stands out as a cultural hub situated just steps away from IOI City Mall, Southeast Asia’s retail giant. The hotel positions itself as a basecamp for fashionistas and thrill-seekers, with easy access to major retail therapy and exciting entertainment options, including a futuristic indoor theme park. The hotel is in proximity to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and major highways connecting Klang Valley and beyond, placing guests in the perfect spot to explore the area’s amenities with ease.

The hotel’s bright and open lobby layout paired with contemporary furniture invites guests to explore. Designed as a multi-functional work and interactive social space, the ”Plug and Meet” gathering areas provide modern ergonomic seating, large graphic design walls, and 55-inch televisions. The lobby boasts a state-of-the-art digital video wall and 24/7 food and beverage offerings. Weathered timber strip ceilings incorporated with the latitude and longitude numbers of the hotel’s location adding a fun visual element.

As guests step into Moxy Putrajaya’s 480 guestrooms they are greeted by the unexpected. Army camouflage print meets sports car-inspired art for a stay that’s as vibrant as it is functional. To optimize space, guestrooms feature a peg wall for clothing organization, table and chairs that hang to the wall, and under-bed storage. Guests discover designs inspired by Putrajaya landmarks – the steel bridges of Putrajaya are reflected in the guestroom numbers; wall graphic designs are based on the geometry of its buildings and some rooms oversee the scenic greens of the Palm Garden Golf Club.

From check-in to check-out, Moxy Putrajaya’s unexpected design elements, combined with the hotel’s communal spaces and central bar promote interaction, vibrancy, and fun. Moxy Putrajaya is the springboard to explore, discover, and share experiences with locals and visitors alike.

Business travellers can level up workouts at the Fitness Centre on Level 2, where the Strength, Cardio, and Fun Zones redefine sweat sessions. From Multiangle Pull-Up Bars to the Moxy Bike, workouts are powerful but playful. Guests can cool off in style at the swimming pool, featuring a chic Pool Deck and Lounge Area.

At THREE.6.5, the All Day Dining features Malaysian and international favorites. Sprawling over 451sqm, the stage is set for 180 guests to experience the lively spirit of Malaysia’s street art. Diners can feast their eyes on trendy petrol green hot and cold carts, soak in the whimsical lighting, and enjoy comfortable circular seating.

With space for around 100 guests, the Sky Bar on Level 18 blends urban cool with botanical charm, while outdoors, neon lights inspired by Putrajaya’s Light Festival set the stage for a fun night. Guests can partake in a round of Malaysian marble game Congkak at the funky tables, sip on creative concoctions, and drink in the breathtaking views.

The hotel also features five fun rooms located on Level 2 ideal for all kinds of gatherings, from meetings, to workshops and more. Moxy Putrajaya’s dynamic spaces of 647.19 sqm are designed for serious business with a playful edge. The hotel also has a 498 sqm breakout area, a vibrant space for refreshing breaks and spontaneous networking cutting-edge tech, high-speed Wi-Fi, and adaptable setups.
