Jumeirah Opens in Nanjing

Jumeirah has opened its second hotel in China, the Jumeirah Nanjing, offering business travellers a new address in one of the country’s commercial capitals.

Jumeirah Nanjing, located on the banks of the city’s Yangtze River, is the brand’s second hotel to open in China and brings Jumeirah’s legendary hospitality and luxurious service to the prosperous Jiangsu province.

Situated on the 39-67th floors of the prestigious International Youth Cultural Centre (IYCC) development, in Hexi New District, the hotel is set to inspire and delight business travellers, who will be greeted with warm, passionate service and incredible dining experiences. Jumeirah Nanjing combines China’s rich ancient history with modern-day living and nature – the city is surrounded by mountains, lakes and rivers making it a tempting weekend escape.

The hotel offers 212 rooms and 49 suites which are all above the 41st floor and offer amazing city and river views. The striking and iconic architecture was created by the legendary architect Zaha Hadid, whose design took inspiration from a graceful sailing ship, capturing Nanjing’s blend of traditional and cosmopolitan style.

Inside the hotel, impressive atriums allow for abundant natural light to enter the grand entrance and the spectacular 63rd-floor swimming pool. Interiors combine traditional and modern characteristics to create an exclusive environment that celebrates cultural heritage and contemporary innovation. Art pieces throughout are elegant, modern and refined to showcase Jiangnan’s classic and contemporary features – such as the Yangtze River, Lakeside stone, Kun Opera, Cloud Brocade and ancient Nanjing poetry.
