Hyatt Regency Opens in Shanghai

Hyatt Regency Shanghai, Wujiaochang has opened in Shanghai, China. Located in the Hopson International Plaza, adjacent to Wujiaochang Station on Metro Line 10, the new hotel offers business travellers a contemporary retreat in the thriving business district.

“The opening of Hyatt Regency Shanghai, Wujiaochang further expands Hyatt’s brand presence in Shanghai and significantly enriches our authentic and diversified brand experiences for guests,” says Christopher Koehler, Hyatt’s vice president and managing director of operations for China. “This hotel has been thoughtfully designed to make guests feel welcome and comfortable so that they can socialise, connect and celebrate any occasion.”

Traditional Chinese symbolism is subtly integrated throughout the contemporary design of the hotel, which offers 306 comfortable guest rooms, including 17 suites. All standard rooms offer views of the Shanghai skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows, complimentary wifi, and 48-inch LED TVs, while all suites boasts separate bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas, as well as walk-in closets. Guests staying in Regency Club rooms can enjoy access to the Regency Club, an exclusive lounge offering daily breakfast, all-day refreshments, and evening cocktails and canapés.

Designed to resemble a vibrant marketplace, the Market Café serves an all-day à la carte menu of Asian, European, American and local cuisines, while The Lounge, with double-height ceilings, large picture windows and soaring wooden screens, provides a relaxing setting for coffee meetings. By night, the lounge transforms into a trendy bar, perfect from which to enjoy sweeping views of Shanghai’s famous neon lights.

Catering for all types of business and social events, Hyatt Regency Shanghai, Wujiaochang offers 2,858sqm of flexible meeting and event spaces across two levels, including the Regency Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 700 guests, and seven multi-function rooms.

For relaxation, guests can head over to the 24-hour gym on the eighth floor, which features Life Fitness cardio and strength equipment with built-in entertainment and fitness tracking monitors. They can also take a dip in the 25-metre swimming pool or unwind in the spacious whirlpool with underwater massage loungers. www.shanghaiwujiaochang.regency.hyatt.com
