The Research+Data Insights survey by Red Roof Inn found that in-room wifi is more important to travellers than parking, complimentary breakfast, and even a hotel’s location.
The result shows that complimentary wifi comes in second only to cost when travellers consider booking a hotel stay. Also, 80 percent of travellers have a more favorable opinion of a hotel offering complimentary wifi with guaranteed speeds.
Red Roof Inn intends to take their wifi service to new levels across all properties in its 470+ portfolio, allowing business guests the chance to stay connected and stream movies and music without delay. The company’s Verified wifi initiative is now in a test phase across its properties in the United States.
“Fast. Free. Verified. That’s our goal for Red Roof wifi across the country,” says Andrew Alexander, president, Red Roof. “We have listened to our guests and have responded to their immediate needs when choosing where to stay. Whether it’s a business traveller who needs wifi to stay connected on the road or a millennial who wants to stream music or play video games, high speed wifi is integral to today’s traveller no matter who they are.” www.redroof.com
