Hyatt Regency Changchun Opens in China

Hyatt Hotels has opened the Hyatt Regency Changchun, the first of its brand in the capital city of Jilin province in northeast China, offering corporate travellers a luxurious retreat in the city’s downtown area.

Only a 50-minute drive from Changchun Longjia International Airport, the Hyatt Regency Changchun offers 427 guest rooms, including 66 suites. The 40sqm entry-level rooms feature large picture windows, subtle Chinese influences in the soft furnishings, hexagonal lantern-style pendant lights, and the latest facilities and amenities, including large LED TVs, workspaces with enhanced lighting, and complimentary high-speed Internet access.

“The introduction of our strong Hyatt Regency brand in Changchun, Jilin reinforces our commitment to growing our brands purposefully in the places where our guests are travelling,” says Christopher Koehler, vice president and managing director for China operations, Hyatt. “We are delighted that this hotel will bring the Hyatt Regency brand — one of dynamic and stimulating hospitalities — to the city and to connect guests with their friends, family and business partners. We believe this hotel will contribute to our goal of becoming the most preferred hotel company.”

Guests can dine in the Market Café, which offers a variety of Western and Asian cuisines, or in Pin Yue, serving authentic Jilin cuisine using the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. Those after a quick refuel should head to the Pastry Shop, which offers sandwiches, pastries, cakes, and freshly-brewed coffee. Perfect for business catch-ups, The Lounge offers a selection of Chinese and afternoon teas.

For business meetings and conferences, the hotel boasts eight flexible event spaces totaling 2,300sqm, including the pillar-free Regency Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 500 guests, and seven multi-functional event spaces, equipped with the very latest audio-visual equipment.

Guests can energise in the hotel’s 1,300sqm of wellness facilities, featuring a 25-meter heated indoor pool, a whirlpool, an outdoor lounging terrace, and a cutting-edge fitness center. http://changchun.regency.hyatt.com
