The opening of Hotel G Yangon on September 7, 2017, will see the largest city in Myanmar gain its first international lifestyle hotel.
The 85-room hotel will sit in a prime location in the lively district of Yaw Min Gyi, just a few minutes’ drive from the world-famous Shwedagon Pagoda and downtown Yangon, and the central railway station right on its doorstep.
Hotel G Yangon will include 85 fully equipped rooms ranging from 15sqm to 30sqm across four room categories: Good, Great, Greater, and Greatest. Rooms have been designed in wood tones that contrast with vividly coloured walls and artworks with a modern graphic take on Myanmar’s design heritage. Each of the rooms will have complimentary wifi, a handy phone with free local and international calls and data while roaming in Yangon, a Bluetooth stereo alarm, a LED smart TV, and tea and coffee making facilities.
The property will also have a bright and airy 500sqm Real Fitness ExpressTM gym, with a range of state-of-the-art equipment, including treadmills, free weights, and mat areas.
The hotel’s signature Babett Eatery and Bar, a sister restaurant of Ginett Singapore and Scarlett Hong Kong and Bangkok, will open throughout the day and will offer breakfast on the go and leisurely brunches, pizzas from a wood-fired grill, sharing platters of cold cuts and cheese, as well as daily specials from executive chef Javier Ballesta. By night, the venue’s guest mixologists or bartenders will serve cocktails and wines by the glass and bottle from an extensive list.
