Fox & The Barber Opens in Hong Kong

So you’re in Hong Kong for meetings (or you call the city home but still want to look sharp) and need a little priming before your next appointment. While the city is inundated with salons catering to the fairer sex, Hong Kong has been a few steps behind the international renaissance of gents barbering. No more.

Fox & The Barber has opened on Graham Street just off Hollywood, an easy walk from the financial powerhouses of Central. Specialising in contemporary male grooming, including wet shaves, haircuts, beard shaping and even skin fades, amidst interiors reminiscent of a traditional English barbershop, Fox & The Barber is a sophisticated, urbane space that caters only to gentlemen wanting to look their best.

Their comprehensive menu includes everything from a quick clean up through to the indulgent 45-minute Club Shave for business travellers with a little time on their hands. While the trend in hair today leans towards the modern retro gangster look or even the flare of the rockabilly 50s, Fox & The Barber’s experienced barbers Sarah and Alf, both of whom have worked at leading barbershops in the United Kingdom, can cater to any hair type and any desired style.

The shop also uses the best men’s grooming products from the likes of Baxter of California; D.R. Harris; Mr. Natty; Truefitt & Hill; and Pinaud as well as a rarely encountered forward-facing wash.

So if you prefer to look more Mad Men than The Clash that’s not a problem – as long as you’re comfortable, have your desired tipple in hand, and have the time to lay back and enjoy the experience. The addition of a temple, neck or scalp massage is the perfect antidote to a day of boardroom battling.
