Four Points Arrives in Nagoya

Breaking the mould of stuffy airport hotels, Marriott International has opened the brand new, 319-room Four Points by Sheraton Nagoya at the city’s Chubu International Airport.

The new hotel’s design reflects a vintage-modern aesthetic, with a sense of authenticity created through the craftsmanship of furniture, honesty of materials, display of local influences and a relaxed, informal ambience.

Throughout Four Points by Sheraton Nagoya, design elements are inspired by the industrial era that shaped modern-day Japan and is complemented by a warm colour scheme and original, exposed brick walls. At the main entrance, guests are welcomed by a model of a propeller of the Curtiss-Wright Corporation Wright R-1820 Cyclone airplane, reflecting the theme of travel.

The hotel’s light-filled lobby, with its high ceilings and striking iron staircase, add a sense of drama to the communal space. The décor is completed with modern brass accents and locally inspired art panels featuring Tokoname City. Meanwhile, in the guest rooms, the industrial theme continues seamlessly, with details such as exposed pipes and ducts that lend a modern touch to the decor.

Four Points Nagoya, Chubu International Airport also has two tempting dining venues. At Evolution guests can enjoy all-day dining, as well as the beautiful views of the Tokoname coastline. Additionally, Tokoname’s famous Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) figurine, provides the whimsical inspiration throughout the restaurant’s murals. The Meals at Evolution showcase the freshest and finest local vegetables, meats, and seafoods and features a Japanese and international buffet, and an à la carte menu.

At the Bar Lounge, guests can experience the brand’s signature Best Brews program and enjoy a pint of Shirohonoka premium barrel draft beer, together with a selection of barbecued dishes and other light bites while watching live sports on a big-screen TV or playing billiards. For added convenience, there is also a selection of food, beverage, and travel essentials available at the Grab & Go.

For guests who want to maintain their workout routines while on the road, the hotel also has a 24-hour fitness gym with floor-to-ceiling windows providing breath-taking panoramic ocean views, which is fully equipped with the latest equipment including cardio machines, balance balls, and weights.
