FlyArystan Adds 8 New Destinations

Kazakhstan low-cost airline FlyArystan will add eight new routes from its new aircraft base in Karaganda.

Starting April 20, 2020, the sixth FlyArystan aircraft will join the fleet of the fast-growing Kazakh low-cost carrier and will become the first one based at the Sary-Arka International Airport, Karaganda, a city located southeast from the country’s capital.

The lowcost carrier’s new routes to be served from Karaganda are to Atyrau, Aktau, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Aktobe, Shymkent, Semey and Moscow (Zhukovsky). They will join the existing Karaganda service to Almaty that was started in May 2019 with the launch of FlyArystan.

“The Karaganda region is one of the largest industrial regions of the country, with a modern infrastructure, convenient geographical location and a promising future, the development of which is impossible without air transport,” says Tim Jordan, managing director of FlyArystan. “And we, the Air Astana group of companies, in particular, FlyArystan are ready to contribute to that continued growth by establishing our first regional aircraft base at Sary-Arka International Airport, Karaganda.”
