EVA Air Connects Taipei with Istanbul

EVA Air has launched a four-times-weekly non-stop service between Taipei and Istanbul, connecting business travellers between the capital cities of Taiwan and Turkey.

The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft operated on this new route features three distinct cabins: Royal Laurel (business), with flat-bed seats approximately 2 metres long; Elite (premium economy) with recliner seats; and Economy Class, which comes with on-demand seat-back entertainment and ports for charging devices.

“Istanbul is unique to both Europe and Asia in its geographical advantages,” says EVA executive vice president Glenn Chai. “From here, it’s easy for passengers to connect onward aboard flights to most of Europe’s major cities. With our new service, travellers from Turkey and Europe have easy access to leading destinations throughout Asia and Mainland China.”

The outbound flight, BR79, departs Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 00:55 and arrives at Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport at 07:45. The return leg, BR80, leaves Istanbul at 11:45 and lands in Taipei at 04:15 the next morning. www.evaair.com
