Etihad Adds Fourth Bangkok Service

Etihad will add a fourth daily service between Abu Dhabi and Bangkok from July 1, 2015.

Operated by a B777-300ER aircraft, the new service will increase the number of Etihad’s round-trip flights between the two cities to 28 per week, and add appxorimately 5,000 seats per week to the route.

The enw flight will offer business travellers in the UAE and Thailand the convenience of additional departure and arrival times. It will also increase capacity for guests connecting to the Bangkok service from other points on Etihad’s global network and from flights to Abu Dhabi operated by partner airlines.

“Bangkok is one of the most popular destinations in our global network,” said Etihad’s chief strategy and planning officer, Kevin Knight. ” The route has strong year-round demand and attracts guests from across the UAE, GCC, Middle East, Africa and Europe. The new service – with its attractive timing and convenient two-way connections, will make ours a more competitive and attractive offering for business travellers to Thailand, as well as travellers based in Thailand.

Flight EY406 will depart Abu Dhabi at 2330, arriving in Bangkok at 0910 the next morning; flight EY405 leaves Bangkok at 1820 and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 2200 that evening. www.eithad.com
