Ethiopian to Start Non-Stop Services to Singapore

Ethiopian Airlines, the largest African airline, will start direct services between Addis Ababa and Singapore from June 2017, using a Boeing 787-800, offering business travellers a convenient connection between the Ethiopian capital and the Lion City.

The new Ethiopian Singapore route will operate five times weekly, on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The flight ET 0638 will depart Addis Ababa at 00:40 and arrive in Singapore at 14:50 (local time). Return flight ET 0639 will leave Singapore at 02:00 to arrive in Addis Ababa at 06:20 (local time).

Ethiopian is a global carrier that operates the most modern fleet on the African continent, with an average aircraft age of less than five years, serving more than 90 international destinations across five continents, with over 240 daily departures.

From its hub at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, Ethiopian serves a network of 125 passenger destinations—20 of them domestic—and 44 freighter destinations. The airline has secondary hubs in Togo and Malawi. Ethiopian is Africa’s largest airline in terms of passengers carried, destinations served, fleet size, and revenue, and is also the world’s 4th largest airline by the number of countries served.
