The Indian city of Chennai will shortly get its first Crowne Plaza hotel with the rebranding of the existing Sheraton Park Chennai as the new Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park. The Crowne Plaza Brand is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group.

Set to open very shortly following a refurbishment, the 286-room hotel is ideally positions for business travellers, being positions in the city’s central business district and just 10 kilometres from Chennai international airport.

Crowne Plaza is a globally recognised business hotel brand, and the Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park will boast a host of executive-friendly amenities, including a 24-hour business centre and generous meeting spaces, such as a ballroom capable of accommodating 500 guests. For special corporate events and media launches, the hotel will also be home to Dublin,  a three-floor night club which is also one of the city’s most popular private event spaces.

As well as offering an array of business-friendly amenities, the hotel will feature a spate of choice dining options, including Dakshin, which serves regional cuisine from India’s southern peninsula; Cappuccino, a 24-hour restaurant; The Residency, which boasts global culinary delights; and On the Rocks, offering grilled cuisine and regular appearances by Michelin-starred chefs.
