Beijing Capital Airlines to Fly to Vancouver

Beijing Capital Airlines will begin a thrice-weekly service between Hangzhou and Vancouver, via Qingdao, from December 30, 2016, allowing Chinese business travellers the chance to fly into to one of the largest industrial centres in Canada.

Offering every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, the new Hangzhou – Qingdao – Vancouver service is Beijing Capital Airlines’ first route to North America. It will be operated with an Airbus A330 aircraft, which features 36 flat-bed seats in business class and 186 standard seats in Economy.

“We are thrilled Beijing Capital Airlines has chosen YVR as its first entry point into North America,” says Craig Richmond, president and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. “Beijing Capital Airlines is the sixth airline to serve YVR from mainland China – two more than any other airport in North America or Europe. It is a true testament to YVR’s position as a connecting hub to the Asia-Pacific region, and to YVR’s competitiveness in attracting new carriers.” www.jdair.net
