AirAsia X has launched a new Xcite in-flight entertainment service, ensuring passengers stay informed and entertained during the low-cost carrier’s long-haul flights.
The new Xcite service will provide its premium passengers with tablet devices pre-loaded with a wide range of TV shows, movies, and magazine content, enhancing their onboard experience.
The ‘Xcite’ in-flight entertainment content will be available in five languages – English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese – and will be offered free-of-charge to all passengers in the airline’s Premium cabin. The IFE content will be offered via a Huawei Mediapad 2 device, featuring a 10.1-inch HD screen, along with headsets.
AirAsia X is a long-haul budget airline based in Malaysia and a sister company of AirAsia. It commenced operations on 2 November 2007 with its first service flown from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, to Gold Coast Airport in Australia. AirAsia X flies to destinations within Asia, Australia, and the United States of America.
AirAsia X operates a fleet of 377-seat Airbus A330 aircraft on all its routes, each of which provides 12 flat-bed seats in the premium cabin and 365 economy class seats. The IFE service will not be available on flights to and from Auckland, Jeddah, and Kathmandu.
