Air India will connect the sub-continent with the Middle East with the launch of non-stop flights between New Delhi and Tel Aviv, Israel on March 22, 2018.
The new service will offer business travellers additional access to emerging Middle East economies as well as connections on to Europe with Israel national carrier El Al.
Air India will operate the route with a state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft three times per week every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Air India’s B787 has 18 lie-flat business class seats and 238 economy class seats.
The service will depart from New Delhi at 16:50 and arrive in Tel Aviv at 20:25. On its return leg, the plane will depart from Tel Aviv at 22:15 and land in Delhi the next day at 09:00. The flight time is approximately 7 hours and 10 minutes.
In addition to Air India, Israel’s national carrier El Al currently has four weekly nonstop flights from Mumbai to Tel Aviv and will soon increase its frequency.
Air India is the flag carrier airline of India, headquartered at New Delhi. It operates a fleet of modern Airbus and Boeing aircraft on some 102 domestic and international routes from its hub Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, alongside several focus cities across India. The airline became the 27th member of Star Alliance in 2014.
Air India also operates flights to domestic and Asian destinations through its subsidiaries Alliance Air and Air India Express.
