Air China will launch flights between Beijing and Astana, Kazakhstan on June 1, 2017, and between Beijing and Zurich, Switzerland on June 7, 2017, providing west-bound travellers with more flight options and flexibility.
The Beijing-Astana (now Nur-Sultan) route will be launched in time to meet the anticipated demand for flights connecting Astana, which will see the 2017 World Expo open in the capital city of Kazakhstan in the same month.
Air China will operate the Beijing-Astana flights three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with an Airbus A320. The outbound flights will depart Beijing at 17:20 to arrive Astana at 21:00, while the inbound flights are scheduled to depart Astana at 22:30 to arrive in the Chinese capital at 05:30.
The Beijing-Zurich route will be operated four times per week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with an Airbus A330-200. The outbound flights will depart Beijing at 02:35 and land in Zurich at 07:25; and return legs will take off at 12:55 to arrive in Beijing at 05:05.
The Airbus A330-200 will feature business class seats that can be fully reclined up to 180 degrees; premium economy seats that offer 120 percent more legroom than regular economy class; and economy class seats that are ergonomically designed to reduce fatigue.
