Air Canada has expanded its international network with the addition of six new routes for the winter season, including a service between Vancouver and Melbourne, which will offer Canada-bound business travellers another direct flight option when transiting between the two hemispheres.
The Air Canada Melbourne – Vancouver route will operate four times weekly with a Boeing 787-9 from December 1, 2017 to February 4, 2018.

The other five new routes are Vancouver-Orlando, Montreal-Phoenix, and, subject to government approvals, Toronto-Belize, Toronto-St. Vincent, and Montreal-Lima.
“Vancouver-Melbourne is our third route to Australia, in addition to year-round service to Sydney and Brisbane,” says Benjamin Smith, president, Passenger Airlines at Air Canada. “Our seasonal Melbourne service will provide additional options for business travellers between North America and Australia as well as Australians seeking a Canadian winter vacation experience.

So far in 2017, Air Canada has launched new international services between Montreal and Shanghai, with Vancouver-Taipei, Vancouver-Nagoya, Vancouver-Frankfurt, Vancouver-London Gatwick, Toronto-Mumbai, Toronto-Berlin, Toronto-Reykjavik, Montreal-Reykjavik, Montreal-Tel Aviv, Montreal-Algiers and Montreal-Marseille inaugural services to begin in the weeks to come.
